Since in 1980 all anyone could think of was, there must be another Woodstock on the horizon.

He soon determines that the path chosen to follow by those wishing to lead was a dead end, and he sets out with determination born of experience to craft a show that will not only make money, but more importantly, make history.

Along the way his personal and very private life is torn asunder. His relationships are shattered and his belief in the goodness of man is put to the ultimate test. Will he cave and submit to the manipulations of the business elite? Or rise to the occasion of the ultimate opportunity to cast aside all doubt, claim victory for the tribe, and throw not only caution but fate to the wind? His love life becomes his love lives as he succumbs to the siren's call of lust and lasciviousness in lock step with his rising prestige.

But soon enough the moment of reckoning arrives, and he must choose on many levels to return to his past integrity or succumb to the onslaught of temptation and almost certain personal demise. Book 1 of the Heatwave Trilogy, Count Wiffenstein Meets The Ugly Canadians, sees The Count forced to remain in the background of his own deal in order to keep the ghosts of his past from looming large in the present circumstance.
